Year 12 Mock - Performance Exams

Vocal Skills
How well are they using their voices? Can you hear them? Do you understand what words they are saying? Are they using variety in their voices – pausing, changing volume, changing pitch. Are they being expressive?


Movement Skills

Is their movement appropriate to the character they are playing? Does the movement suit the words they are saying and the emotions they are showing? Are they using a variety of movement  -slowness, speed, stillness to convey their character and their feelings? Are they truthful in their use of movement?


Characterisation

Does the character standing and living in front of you seem to be alive in that situation? Do you believe it is a character in a play or a Beaverwood A level Drama student? Do they appear to be caught up in the feelings and the situation of the play? Do they respond truthfully to the other character and the situation they are in?

Communication

Use this space for any particular (positive) notes you have for an actor
Do they allow you to understand their world? Can you feel why they are behaving like they do? Do you feel that the actor is listening to the other actor? Do you feel that the actor is making an effort to communicate the character to you?

Evaluating Hard to Swallow Rehersals
